- Contact Information: We may collect your name, email address, phone number, and mailing address when you contact us or use our services. Our website contact form also asks for your company name, your website, how you heard about us, your biggest business challenge, and what you want to discuss.
- Payment Information: Payments for our services are handled by third-party payment processors. We do not store your full payment card number.
- Website Usage Data: We collect data about your interactions with our website, such as your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and other browsing information.
- Meeting Information: If you meet with us, we may record and transcribe the meeting and keep notes. See section 4A.
2. How We Use Your Information

- To provide and deliver our consulting services to you.
- To communicate with you, respond to your inquiries, and provide customer support.
- To process payments for our services.
- To improve our website and services based on your feedback and usage patterns.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information with:
- Service Providers: We may share your information with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate our business and provide our services. These include our website host and forms provider, spam-protection and analytics providers, scheduling and email tools, meeting recording and transcription tools, and AI software we use to prepare analysis and documents.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, in response to a subpoena, or to protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property.
4. Cookies and Tracking
Our website may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to collect information about your browsing activities. You can adjust your browser settings to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being used. However, some website features may not function properly without cookies.
We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to understand how the website is used, including which pages are viewed, when the contact form is submitted, and when our booking link is clicked. Google describes how it uses information from sites that use its services at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Embedded video and scheduling tools may set their own cookies and may collect information about your activity across other websites.
Spam protection. Our contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to help keep out spam and automated abuse. When you use the form, Cloudflare may process technical information about your browser and device (such as your IP address and browser characteristics) to tell real visitors apart from bots. Cloudflare handles that information under its own privacy policy (https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/).
We do not use advertising or remarketing cookies, and we do not sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising. If that changes, we will update this section first.
We do not currently respond to Do Not Track browser signals.
4A. Meetings, Recordings and AI Tools
We may record and transcribe meetings with prospects and clients, including audio, transcripts, and notes, and we use AI tools to summarize calls and prepare our work. We tell you at the start of a meeting when it is being recorded. If you or anyone else on the call declines, we will not record. Continuing after that notice is your consent to record.
We use recordings, transcripts, and notes to deliver and improve our services. Access is limited to us and the service providers that help us deliver our services. We do not sell them, and we do not let our tool providers use them for their own advertising. We do not use your personal information to train our own AI models.
Formal confidentiality obligations start when we sign an NDA or an engagement agreement, not when a meeting is booked.
5. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no data transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5A. Data Retention
We keep personal information as long as we need it to respond to you, deliver services, and meet legal and business record-keeping duties, then we delete it or de-identify it. Backups and legal holds can delay deletion.
6. Your Choices
You have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: You can request access to the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction: You can request corrections to any inaccuracies in your personal information.
- Deletion: You can request the deletion of your personal information, subject to legal obligations.
To make a request, email notices@scharftech.com. We respond within 45 days. We may ask you to confirm you are the person the data is about, and we may decline a request that would expose someone else's information or that we must keep for a legal reason. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we will respond to requests as that law requires.
Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link.
7. Children's Privacy
Our services are not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their personal information, please contact us, and we will take appropriate steps to remove the information.
8. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on our website with the effective date. By continuing to use our services after any changes, you accept and agree to the updated Privacy Policy.
